I have always felt our 9-1-1 telecommunicators and dispatchers are the thin gold line because gold is the best. It’s the standard to which everything else is measured. These headset heroes are the cream of the crop.
How do we celebrate the uniqueness of what 9-1-1 professionals do? They are a special group of people and deserve more than one week of recognition.
As part of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, our County Executive will thank them for their service. We’ll have food delivered. But in the true spirit of 9-1-1, we’ll also work. We’ll continue to serve the public and the first responders. It is what we do.
